Everyone always asks me why Skydiving? Why do people Golf? For those who don't skydive, it's difficult to understand and harder yet for those of us who do to explain. Skydiving provides me with relaxation from the stress of my job and raising three kids. When I step out that door nothing else matters but the first point and the dive ahead. Each time the door opens I'm reminded how precious this life is and how lucky I am to be doing something I love so much. So keep your eyes turned upward and BLUE SKIES!! |
I fell in love with the sport on October 25, 1997, when I completed the AFF First Jump Course(Accelerated Free Fall) with Skydive Temple to celebrate my 34th birthday. My instructors were great and I made my first jump that very afternoon and was instantly hooked. I completed my Level VII skydive on March 21, 1998 and logged nearly 200 jumps in my first year. I continue to jump weekly, weather and schedule permitting. I've included my student logbook for everyone's entertainment. I'm heading for Quincy, Illinois in August for the 1999 Free Fall Convention and will add those memories and pictures here, too. And here they are Quincy '99. I can't wait til August 2000! |
